Kowa Genesis 8x33 XD DCF binoculars

Kowa Genesis 8x33 XD binoculars

Kowa's best all-purpose binoculars. Versatile 8x magnification and easy-to-carry size.

At 590 grams and 133mm long, the Kowa Genesis 8x33 is a very compact binocular - smaller than the Swarovski 8x32 EL binoculars and lighter than the Zeiss 8x32 Conquest or Nikon 8x32 EDG.

The closest focusing distance of the Kowa Genesis 8x33 binoculars is 1.5 meters, so you can safely view objects that are close by, such as flowers or butterflies. Another great feature of the Kowa XD33 binoculars is their field of view - a field of view of 140 meters at 1000 meters makes viewing more comfortable. For example, it is easy to find the object you are looking at in the field of view of the binoculars.

Key features

• Prominar XD lenses
• Diopter adjustment lock
• Filter thread on front lenses
• Waterproof
• Closest focusing distance 1.5m

The smooth-moving focus ring fits easily under the index finger. The focus itself is 'not too fast and not too slow' as focusing from the closest focusing distance to infinity requires about 1.5 rotations of the focus ring. Slow focusing makes it easier to focus with fine details.

The comfortable adjustable eyecups provide 15mm of eye relief, which is sufficient for many types of eyeglasses. Unlike other Kowa binoculars, the diopter adjustment on these binoculars has a lock, as you have to lift the diopter ring to adjust it. Usually, diopter adjustment rings are stiff to move, but this further prevents accidental rotation of the diopter ring.

The binoculars lack a tripod thread, but with the help of a universal binocular adapter, you can attach the binoculars to a tripod or a tripod stand.

Genesis/XD series binoculars are naturally waterproof and filled with nitrogen gas.

• C3 and phase correction coatings. Fluoride crystals used in the lenses, which improve image color reproduction and contrast
• The prism's reflective surface uses a dielectric coating that provides over 99% reflectivity. This enables a bright and tonal image
• Completely waterproof, nitrogen-filled
• Rubber coated
• Screw-on eyecups
