This is a round viewfinder protector that is larger than the camera's standard viewfinder. Made of soft silicone material, the viewfinder protector is comfortable and fits better around the shape of the eye. The viewfinder protector fits around the eye regardless of whether you are shooting horizontally or vertically.
The eyecup does not affect the viewfinder sensor.
