This set comes with a total of 15 gelatin filter membranes.

Each filter is made of very thin (0.1mm) and high-quality film. The square-shaped filter films with rounded corners fit easily into the 30x30mm gelatin filter slot on the back of Irix lenses.

The advantage of a gelatin filter over a regular filter , in addition to its lower price, is that the gelatin filter does not add extra reflections to the image. This is because the light passes through the filter in a straighter line because the filter is closer to the sensor at the back of the lens.
