This reader saves videos and photos captured with the Insta360 X4 camera directly to a micro SD card (when the reader is attached to the camera, it saves files to the reader's memory card, even if the camera has its own memory card). The reader is then connected directly to the device where the material is to be edited via USB or Lightning connector. This way, the transfer phase no longer drains the battery of the X4 camera and you can also continue shooting with it at the same time.

For transfer and pre-editing, you can either use the Insta360 App designed for mobile devices or transfer the files directly to your computer.
