Wireless 2.4 GHz microphone system with two transmitters, a receiver and a charging case. Compatible with cameras, phones and computers.
This is a more affordable version of the Insta360 Mic Pro. The Mic Pro has three microphone capsules, this one has only one. The Mic Pro also has 32 GB of internal memory and this model has the option to use a separately purchased MicroSD memory card.
Mic transmitters can be connected directly to Insta360 X5, X4 Air, Ace Pro 2, and GO Ultra cameras without a separate receiver. The receiver is compatible with cameras, phones, and computers thanks to 3.5 TRS and USB-C connectors.
The built-in microphone transmitter has three selectable pickup patterns: supercardioid, figure-8, and omnidirectional for versatile recording. A separate lavalier microphone can be connected to the transmitter using an optional USB-C to 3.5mm adapter.
Adaptive gain control includes two selectable modes. Automatic Mode prevents audio clipping and is suitable for sporting events where sound levels fluctuate dramatically. Dynamic Mode adjusts gain levels to respond to changes in sound levels. This mode is suitable for quiet indoor environments such as studios.
Three different "Tone preset" tone settings to choose from:
A total of four transmitters can be connected to the receiver at the same time. In addition, the receiver can synchronize audio to up to seven other receivers simultaneously, meaning this system has the ability to implement group interviews and multi-camera productions, for example. With compatible Sony cameras and computer applications, the receiver can output four independent audio tracks.
The transmitters can store backup recordings on a separately purchased MicroSD memory card. These files can be transferred from the transmitters to a computer or phone for post-processing.
Adjustments are made using the receiver's touchscreen and adjustment wheel or the Insta360 app. The battery lasts for 11 hours in the receiver and 10 hours in the transmitters, with the charging case providing up to 30 hours of use for the entire system. If needed, a quick five-minute charge will give the receiver and transmitters an hour and a half of use.
