There is also another version of this tripod , the Gitzo GT2532 , which has three leg sections and a slightly longer transport length (65cm) than this model. Because there are fewer leg sections, the GT2532 is faster to open and close.

The Gitzo GT2542 is a carbon fiber tripod that offers stability and a load capacity of up to 18kg without being massive. The tripod weighs only 1.68kg and has a transport length of 56cm. So it is convenient to take with you, for example to the mountains.

Thanks to the removable center tube, the minimum height of the tripod is only 16 cm. The legs have removable rubber feet, which can be replaced with ice spikes. The GT2542 is therefore perfectly suited to various shooting conditions. If necessary, additional stability can be obtained by hanging a backpack or sandbag on the hook at the bottom of the center tube.

The GLock Ultra leg lock is quick and easy to use. An additional sealing ring makes the tripod even more durable by reducing dirt from getting between the lock and inside the legs.
