Uncompromising tone world

Time spent editing images is wasted if the device cannot reproduce the work done on paper. The Epson SC-P900 ensures that your prints have real visual depth. The 10-colour UltraChrome Pro 10 ink set, which includes a violet ink that enhances deep blue tones, ensures that skin tones are reproduced completely naturally and transitions in black and white images are neutral.

The black color has exceptional depth thanks to the new "Black Enhance Overcoat" technology, and prints do not show disturbing bronzing, even when printed on glossy papers.

Archival durability from generation to generation

When selling or displaying your work, the durability of your print is as important as its appearance. Epson UltraChrome Pro 10 pigment inks represent the absolute top of the market in terms of durability.

According to tests by the independent Wilhelm Imaging Research Institute, color prints made with these inks can last up to 200 years when framed under glass without noticeable fading. Black and white images made with the device's advanced Advanced Black and White mode are particularly stable: their archival durability has been measured at up to 400 years.

In practice, however, the printer is only half the equation, as the final durability depends heavily on the paper you choose. For example, high-quality semi-gloss papers (such as Epson Premium Luster) can easily achieve over 130 years of color durability under normal indoor conditions, but if you want to maximize the lifespan of your work, you should look at thick Fine Art and Baryta papers, which contain no optical brighteners (OBA).

We recommend investing in a decent selection of paper. High-quality 100% cotton paper not only enhances the dignity of the image when held in your hand, but also ensures that the work remains unchanged for decades.

Large prints, surprisingly little space

In professional use, the physical size and portability of a device are often valued. When you're talking about a printer that produces such huge prints, you'd expect it to take up at least half the room. The SC-P900 completely breaks that assumption.

When the paper supports are folded up after printing, the device takes up surprisingly little space on the desk, making it easy to fit into even the most cramped studio or home office. The clean, closed design also ensures that dust and dirt that could affect the quality of your prints cannot accumulate inside the device when the printer is not in use.

Designed for a smooth workflow: sheets and roll paper

The best feature of the device in work situations is its ease of use. The SC-P900 is ready to print on cut sheets up to 17 inches (A2+) wide right out of the box.

In many printers, feeding specialty papers can be a nerve-wracking struggle, but this device has a straight-through feed path that swallows up to 1.5mm thick, stiff Fine Art sheets with ease. If you want to print long panoramas or save on paper costs by cutting images directly from the roll, the printer is available with a Roll Paper Unit, sold separately.

The ink change between matte and glossy papers is now fully automated, eliminating the need to empty printheads or waste ink. Modern connectivity (fast Wi-Fi, Ethernet, USB 3.0) ensures that the device fits into a modern studio environment.
