Datacolor Spyder is a tool that helps you ensure your monitor's color accuracy during photography and image editing. Spyder's optical sensor measures the true colors of your monitor. This gives you a reliable starting point for editing images to better match the original image.

The device provides instructions for adjusting the display and brightness. In addition to calibration, an ICC profile is created from the display, which accurately takes into account the characteristics of the display.

This version calibrates LCD, mini-LED, OLED, and QD-OLED displays, and measures and adjusts the display brightness based on room lighting.

The device includes a room light sensor that monitors light levels throughout the day. The display brightness and contrast can be adjusted automatically or the software can remind you to recalibrate, helping to maintain accurate colors in different lighting conditions.

A more robust Spyder Pro device is needed if the maximum brightness is over 12,000cd/m2 or if you are calibrating a video projector, for example, or if the equipment is used for more demanding video work.
