The OM System LS-P5 Linear PCM recorder is well suited as a standalone recorder or a camera microphone.

The LS-P5 is a great choice for videographers and anyone who needs high sound quality and versatility. The recorder has three microphones and the zoom function allows you to adjust the microphones' directivity to narrow or wide. The sound recorded by the three microphones is mixed and the directivity is adjusted in 21 different levels.

You can choose different settings based on the intended use, from recording birdsong to loud music recording (125 dB SPL microphones) and recording lectures or meetings.

The recorder supports sampling rates up to 96 kHz and linear PCM recording at up to 24-bit quality. There is also a choice of lossless FLAC recording and playback, and MP3 recording at up to 320 kilobits per second.

The Bluetooth feature allows for wireless audio listening through headphones and simultaneous smartphone control with the DVR.Remote app for iOS and Android devices.

You can choose between intelligent auto mode, manual mode, or Smart recording as the recording mode.

Smart Auto mode dynamically adjusts recording levels under automatic control. Manual mode allows you to fine-tune the recording level based on the volume of the sound source. The new Smart mode determines the optimal sound level by listening to the environment before starting recording.

The new Bright Sound mode produces clearer recordings of speech, for example for recording vlogs, lectures or meetings. Recording that emphasizes mid-range and high-frequency sounds prevents the disturbing effect of ambient noise.

LS-P5 Noisy Situation is designed to improve speech recording in noisy environments. In this mode, one microphone listens to background noise while the speech is recorded with the other microphone balancing the sound.

Normalization increases the volume without sacrificing quality or increasing distortion.

Audio file splitting and trimming: Long recordings can be split and trimmed with the LS-P5 without the need for post-processing. Ability to add fade-ins and fade-outs to audio files.

With the calendar search feature, recordings you save are automatically tagged with the recording date and displayed in a calendar format, making them easier to find.

You can create folders and give names to the recording folders, such as Meeting or Lecture. You can also change the folder and file names using the DVR.Remote smartphone app.
