The Canon RF 24-105mm f/4L IS is a versatile and reachable zoom for Canon EOS R series cameras. A lighter alternative to the super-fast EF 28-70mm F2L lens. Note: Canon RF is a completely new lens mount!
The Canon 24-105mm F4 L IS includes a very effective IS image stabilizer. The stabilizer is promised to have an effect of five aperture stops, which means that in principle, when shooting handheld, you will get an image that is as sharp with the stabilizer at a sensitivity of ISO 200 as without the stabilizer using a sensitivity of ISO 3200. This means that you can use much longer exposure times and, with this, use a lower sensitivity, which will result in less noise in the images. The image stabilizer also uses data from the EOS R body, all of this is achieved thanks to the fast data transfer enabled by the new bayonet.
Like other Canon RF lenses, the Canon RF 24-105mm F4 IS features a programmable control wheel (can be used to adjust aperture, exposure compensation, etc.). The lens construction consists of 18 lens elements in 14 groups. Three elements are aspherical lenses to reduce distortion. In addition, a UD lens element is used to reduce chromatic aberrations.
The lens's focusing element is lightweight, which allows the lens to use a new type of Nano USM focusing motor, which is particularly suited to the demands of video shooting.
The Canon RF 24-104 F4 IS USM is weather and dust protected.
The sales package includes: RF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM lens, E-77 II and D1 caps, EW-83N lens hood and LP1319 soft protective bag.
