Plustek's OpricBook 4800 is a cost-effective scanner for turning books or other printed materials into editable text. The flatbed scanner features a book-scanning design that, together with SEE (Shadow Elimination Element) technology, scans a book page without shadows, darkening, or line breaks.

The software that comes with the scanner allows you to scan directly to editable text (MSWord/Excel), standard PDF or searchable PDF. Also to TIFF, JPG and BMP formats. ABBYY FineReader 9.0 Sprint (included) can recognize 183 different languages, including Finnish.
