Panasonic HC-X2 is a professional and production-grade camcorder. Includes a shooting grip with voice controls. The camera records 4K 60P or 4K 30P 10bit videos directly to a memory card. This camcorder also has a cheaper sister model, the HC-X20E , which does not have the LUT feature, SDI output, or RJ45 Ethernet network connection.

The camera belongs to the so-called professional ENG video camera category (Electronic News Gathering). This means, among other things, full manual control, XLR connectors and time coding for multiple cameras. The best thing about the Panasonic HC-X2E for professional use is that it is ready to shoot in less than ten seconds right out of the bag!

In addition, the Panasonic HC-X2E is a very capable camera for streaming! Connect the camera to a Wifi network and with RMTP technology, the video image is transferred directly to YouTube and other streaming services. The Panasonic HC-X2E also supports a wired Ethernet connection, which is more reliable than Wifi.

You don't need separate devices, computers or software! Service passwords and IDs can be saved in the camera's memory and can be easily transferred to multiple cameras using a memory card. The camera can also adjust the video file bitrate according to the needs of the internet connection in use. In addition, you can wirelessly control the camera's settings via a tablet using the HC ROP software.

Panasonic has further improved its contrast-based autofocus. In addition to face detection and fast motion-responsive autofocus, the camera has several tools to help with manual focusing.

The Panasonic HC-X2E packs advanced shooting functions needed by professionals into a user-friendly body. Despite its size, the camera has the usability required for production use: manual zoom, focus and iris can be quickly adjusted using the control dial.

There is a dedicated control for the internal ND filter. In addition to the touchscreen, the camera has an OLED EFV viewfinder for shooting in bright weather, for example.

The camera has a detachable handle. An IR light source can also be added to the handle for night photography. In addition, the handle has an XLR input for audio with Phantom +48V power. The handle is detachable if an even smaller size is required.

Fast autofocus also works when shooting 120P slow-motion videos. The camera also has manual focus support with contour enhancement, focus area magnification, and one push AF for quick focus check.

The Panasonic HC-X2E uses high-quality HEVC video compression with a 200Mbps bitrate. 4:2:2 10bit videos can be recorded at 4K 30P resolution directly to a memory card. The camera has two memory card slots. The camera can automatically switch recording from one card to another or record a file to both cards simultaneously.
