Kowa's top model with higher magnification. The flagship collection of Kowa binoculars offers excellent image quality even for the most demanding enthusiast.
The Kowa Genesis 10.5x44 is ideal for nature observation, bird watching, and excellent for safaris, for example.
This Kowa Genesis binoculars has a slightly unusual 44mm front lens. This is said to be 10% brighter than the 42mm front lens version, making the binoculars more functional, especially in the poorest viewing conditions. However, the slightly larger front lens does not significantly increase the size of the binoculars, so it is not noticeable when holding the binoculars in your hands.
In addition to the smaller front lens size, the binoculars also have a smaller magnification of 10.5x. This half-magnitude of magnification adds a little extra dimension to your viewing experience. A target at 100 meters looks the same to you with binoculars as it would to the naked eye at 9.5 meters. That's a difference of half a meter compared to 10x magnification.
Key features
The soft focus ring is quite large and fits easily under the index finger. Focusing from the closest focusing distance to infinity requires approximately 550 degrees, or one and a half (1.5) rotations of the focus ring.
The comfortable adjustable eyecups provide 16mm of eye relief, which is enough for many types of eyeglasses. Unlike other Kowa binoculars, the diopter adjustment of these binoculars has a lock. Usually, the diopter adjustment rings are stiff to move, but this further prevents accidental rotation of the diopter ring. The binoculars have a 46mm filter thread in front of the front lenses.
The binoculars lack a tripod thread, but with the help of a universal binocular adapter, you can attach the binoculars to a tripod or a tripod stand.
Genesis/XD series binoculars are naturally waterproof and filled with nitrogen gas.
