Feet

The legs of the Gitzo GT3543XLS tripod consist of four parts and three twist locks. The legs have patented G-Lock locking mechanisms (ALR=anti leg rotation system), which prevents the legs from rotating when opening or tightening the locks. The locks also have dust protection, which prevents dirt from entering the tripod and thus keeps the locks in better condition.

The legs fold into three different angles (23°, 53°, 86°), which allows the stand to be used on even the most uneven terrain, and due to the lack of a center tube, the stand can be made really low (up to 10cm).

None of the three legs of the stand have a plastic/rubber coating that would make handling the stand comfortable in low temperatures. On the other hand, carbon fiber is a material that does not get as cold as aluminum.

No center tube

The Gitzo 3543XLS is a modular tripod without a center tube. It is equipped with a flat mounting plate with a 3/8-inch male thread, to which it is possible to attach any camera head. The plate can also be removed, so that it can be replaced with a center tube or a leveling base if necessary. Without a center tube and thanks to the wide opening angle of the legs, the tripod can be used very low.

It is possible to purchase the GS3513S center tube for the stand as an additional accessory.

Easy Link accessory connection

Like Manfrotto tripods, the Gitzo tripod has an Easy Link accessory connection with a 3/8-inch thread on the central bridge. With the help of a separately purchased accessory arm (e.g. Manfrotto 244 Micro or Manfrotto 234 Flex Arm), you can connect, for example, an LED light or a shooting monitor, etc. to the tripod.
