The Fuji X-M5 is the manufacturer's little giant. A very compact but surprisingly feature-packed camera for vlogging, for example. Inside, the same sensor and processor as the more robust Fujis roar, meaning video recording, fast autofocus and the very popular film simulations can also be found in this camera.

The Fuji X-M5 features the same processor as the top-of-the-line X-H2S, and takes advantage of this with fast AI-trained autofocus. The camera automatically recognizes and tracks objects such as animals, birds, cars, bicycles, planes, and trains.

The most noticeable difference between this model and other bodies is the lack of an electronic viewfinder, so if you want a more traditional shooting experience, the X-T30 II and X-T50 are a good option. Image stabilization is also handled through the lens in this model, meaning the body has digital stabilization for video.

Videography powerhouse - including vlogging and vertical videos

In addition to autofocus, the biggest benefits of the new processor are in video recording. Video recording moves to 6.2K, which means that, for example, vertical videos can be shot in better quality by cropping it directly from the video.

The camera's exposure mode dial also has a Vlog setting. This shooting mode has shortcuts to settings important to vloggers, such as focus settings and product priority. In addition, you can see the 9:16 vertical crop directly on the screen, so you can crop Tiktok videos to the millimetre.

For longer videos, the camera has an LP (Long Play) setting that slightly limits the image, but 4K video recording is possible for up to over an hour. There is also a setting that reduces the file size, which makes it easier to edit videos on a phone, for example.

It includes features from more powerful cameras, such as F-Log2 wide tone range recording if you want to adjust colors in post-processing. The headphone jack and microphone jack are the traditional 3.5 version, meaning you can now connect headphones without an adapter. In addition, the built-in microphone is a three-capsule one for the first time in Fuji cameras, meaning you can choose from four direction options: surround, front, rear or front and rear, depending on the situation. In addition, the camera has a steady-state noise reduction function, which reduces continuous noise at a certain frequency, for example the sound of an air conditioner.

The camera has built-in Wifi and Bluetooth, meaning you can control the camera and transfer images directly from your smart device. The FujiFilm X-M5 is also compatible with the new and much improved XApp software, which brings many new features. Streaming is possible using UAC technology directly via USB cable to a computer in 4K 60P quality without separate software.

You can use your phone as a GPS logger, see statistics on the number of photos you've taken, or conveniently transfer photos from a certain period of time to your phone. Connecting to the camera is also easy without having to manually turn on the camera.
