Celestron StarSense Explorer LT 114AZ

The StarSense Explorer LT114AZ is the most affordable reflector telescope with Starsense technology. Celestron has introduced a phone mount for the star tube and a smartphone mount, which makes it easy to find objects in the starry sky.

This telescope has a fairly high magnification and a lower focal length. This telescope is better suited for viewing bright objects such as planets and the moon. For observing deep sky objects such as galaxies , we recommend, for example, the big brother model Celestron DX130 .

Tip: the moon can be quite bright to look at. The LT114AZ has a two-piece lens cover, just open the inner protective cap and the moon will not be dazzling and you will be able to admire the details more easily!

Want to explore constellations, planets or galaxies? Your phone will guide you in which direction you need to turn the tube, and turning is done simply by grabbing the telescope and pointing the tube according to the instructions.

Key features

  • Really easy pipe routing
  • Attaches to a smartphone, allowing you to get a real-time view of the sky when combined with the StarSense Explorer app.
  • The application provides instructions for aligning the telescope
  • Includes a red dot sight if you want to use the telescope without a smart device
  • Includes two eyepieces and a Barlow lens
  • Magnification: 40x/100x Barlow: 80x/200X

StarSense Explorer App for your phone

Celestron's StarSense Explorer is the first app available for consumer telescopes that allows you to use your smartphone to orient yourself to objects in the starry sky.

From the phone app, you simply select the object you want to observe. The app will instruct you in which direction to turn the telescope. The position indicated by the telescope will update in real time on the phone screen, and when you are at the desired object, the cursor will turn green.

Tonight's Best

Stargazing usually starts with learning a few constellations and locating them in the sky with the naked eye. Tonight's Best is a feature of the Starsense Explorer app that suggests the best objects to view at the moment. The list is updated according to your location, meaning the app offers the objects that are visible from your location. Depending on the season, location and time of day, the list may include planets like Jupiter or Saturn, galaxies, nebulae or star clusters.

Arto H.

Muutama moite, mut mitkä pystyy korjaamaan helposti.
