The front cover of this publication is well and often used! It is a planisphere – a rotating star wheel that can be aligned to any date and time (including past and future), showing the night sky at that time. All the major stars on the map glow in the dark, mimicking how they actually appear in the night sky. Includes a collection of more detailed star maps for each of the four seasons.

The maps are clear and concise, allowing you to find objects in the sky with binoculars or a telescope. The illustrated reference section provides information on different types of objects. Made of water and wear-resistant cardboard. A plastic thread holds the pages firmly together and allows them to be laid completely flat for field use.
