The Swarovski 85mm front lens module is the second smallest model in the Swarovski lens module series , making it a powerful all-rounder. Whether you're traveling or spending the day at your birdwatching tower, this eyepiece module offers excellent quality in a compact size.

The Swarovski telescope is made up of an eyepiece module and an objective module. In addition to this objective module, you will need a separate eyepiece module.

Modularity provides flexibility for the hobby, as the objective module allows the telescope to be easily adapted to the viewing situation.

Compatible eyepiece modules are:

• Swarovski ATX eyepiece module. An angled eyepiece that provides 25x-60x magnification. The angled eyepiece is especially popular with birdwatchers, as it makes it easier to observe upwards than a straight eyepiece.
• Swarovski STX eyepiece module. A straight-type eyepiece that offers 25x-60x magnification. The straight-type is especially popular with hunters and shooters.
• Swarovski BTX eyepiece module. A binocular eyepiece that combines the advantages of a telescope and binoculars. Fixed 30x magnification.

The lens module is equipped with a nearly 5cm wide 'pleated' focusing ring. The rear Swarovski eyepiece module, which can be purchased separately, has a zoom ring. These two modules of the telescope are connected to each other with a camera-like bayonet mount. When together, the focusing ring is located right next to the zoom ring, allowing magnification and focusing to be done easily and quickly with one hand. The focusing ring has less resistance than the zoom ring, so you know without looking which ring you are turning. The sensitive but precise focusing ring needs to be turned about 1.2 turns to focus from 10 meters to a kilometer and about 2.5 turns from 10 meters to the closest focusing distance of 3.6 meters.

The magnesium alloy lens module is lined with a rubber coating, as is typical of Swarovski binoculars, that covers almost the entire telescope body. The rubber coating helps protect the optics and allows for a firmer grip, even when the telescope's surface is slightly wet.
