The main upgrades over the X3 include the ability to shoot 8K footage, interchangeable lens covers, a larger touchscreen, and improved battery life. With 5.7K 30fps video, the battery lasts 135 minutes, which is 67% longer than the X3.

In Single Lens Mode, the camera uses only one lens, as its name suggests. In this case, the video resolution can be up to 4K and the frame rate can be up to 60 frames per second, which is double compared to its predecessor. In Me Mode, the camera automatically frames the image on the subject and hides the separately purchased Invisible selfie stick from view. The camera records slow-motion footage at up to 4K 100fps.

The X4 includes several video modes, such as Timelapse, Bullet Time, TimeShift, Loop and Pre-recording, which means the camera records either a 15-second or 30-second clip before you press the button. To make shooting easier, the camera can be controlled with gesture and voice control. Battery life with 5.7K30fps shooting 135 minutes and 8K30fps 75 minutes. The battery charges fully in 55 minutes, and 80% charging takes 38 minutes.
