Since its initial release, the Osmo Action has been battling GoPro for the title of king. The Osmo Action 5 Pro's trump card is its large sensor. The 1/1.3-inch sensor is large by action camera standards, much larger than the 1/1.9-inch sensor in the GoPro Hero 13.

The updated sensor now has an even wider dynamic range of up to 13.5 stops, which improves noise tolerance in low light. The new Supernight mode utilizes AI algorithms to make the image sharp even in very low light conditions. Battery life has doubled to up to four hours and both screens are now sharper OLED screens. In addition, there is now 47GB of internal memory. So there have been valuable improvements in terms of both low-light photography and the important features required of an action camera.

Image stabilization, waterproofing, and high-quality images, as well as 4K slow-motion video and vertical videos suitable for the social media world, are features that can also be found in the Osmo Action 5 Pro camera.

The Osmo Action 5 Pro is everything you need in an advanced action camera and more. It can withstand temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius, is waterproof to 20 meters, has better color quality even when diving, and the wet touchscreen works well before and after diving. The new OLED displays allow you to preview 10-bit D-Log M footage, so you can adjust colors and brightness right away.

The Osmo can also be used as a webcam and can be easily switched to portrait mode on the move with a quick release. The new subject tracking mode keeps the subject centered in both landscape and portrait mode. The Horizon Steady feature stabilizes the horizon of the image at high speed, even if the camera is rotated 360 degrees, and HorizonBalancing does the same if the camera is tilted up to 45 degrees on the move.
