The world's first 135mm telephoto lens with autofocus and F1.4 aperture. L-Mount compatible version.

Sigma had 135mm F1.8 and 105mm F1.4 lenses in the days of mirrorless cameras, and the most powerful was called the Bokeh monster, and now they are combining the focal length and maximum aperture of these previous lenses in the same device.
The Sigma 135mm F1.4 is a special device with a short depth of field. The main subject is sharp even at the edges of the image, but the sharpness quickly changes to beautifully soft at full aperture. In portraits, the human face or details come to the fore, in close-ups the effect is emphasized, and on the other hand, even distant objects can be subtly distinguished from the background. There are no fewer than 13 diaphragm plates, so when changing the aperture, the depth of field expands but does not become disturbing.
At best, due to the depth of field of millimeters, the lens' focus is an important part, the image must be sharp in the right place and the high resolution and continuous shooting of current cameras, not to mention video, requires a lot from the technology. Sigma uses two focus groups and an HLA focus motor in the 135mm F1.4 DG Art lens, based on initial tests, the combination works great, whether it's shooting indoor sports or a very cool-looking video image.
The lens weighs about 1.4 kilos and comes with a tripod collar. The collar is removable and rotatable, Arca-Swiss compatible, meaning it fits many tripods directly. Usability is also helped by controls such as two programmable buttons (there are two buttons for shooting in different positions, for example, but the function must be the same). Aperture adjustment is possible via the aperture ring and clicks can be turned off for video shooting, for example.
Critical work can also be done manually, the focus ring is large and has a good feel. There is also a dedicated button on the side of the lens to select the focus mode, and corrections can be made directly.
The Sigma 135mm F1.4, like the Art series, is weather-protected and made in Japan.
