With a professional-grade analog XLR connector, you get completely untouched and unprocessed sound. Just plug the mic into a preamp and it works just like before. The microphone can handle a really high maximum sound pressure, so it can be used to record loud sounds like drums. The low noise floor (4dBA) and high maximum sound pressure (142dB SPL) make this microphone a microphone for almost any situation.

Like the 5th Generation model, this microphone also has a wider frequency response than previous versions. The microphone records high tones with softness and lower bass sounds are warm and round. The Rode NT1 microphone has a one-inch capsule with a built-in Rycote Lyre hanger. This means that handling noises are not heard in the recording.
