It combines perfect optical quality, low weight and compact dimensions. It features an integrated lens hood that can be slid up and down to reduce reflections and protect the lens.

The lens uses a first-of-its-kind focusing system that uses two lens elements to move with two linear motors. This makes focusing extremely fast. It is also very quiet, making it ideal for shooting sensitive wildlife and other moving subjects, such as at sporting events or weddings. With a minimum focusing distance of just 70 cm at all focal lengths and a dedicated programmable Fn button, manual focus switch and sliding lens hood, the new M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 40-150 mm 1:2.8 PRO (80-300 mm**) is both versatile and easy to use.
