The LED light panel allows you to switch the light source between hard and soft light, and thanks to the RGB LEDs, also to colored light.
The panel's extremely wide CCT range (2700-12000K) allows the light to be adjusted to match the lighting situation or other lights in the lighting system, or the photographer's imagination and color vision. The magenta/green balance of the light can be adjusted +/-150 and the brightness of the light can be dimmed from 0%-100% dimming range.
RGB and HSI modes give you thousands of different colors to choose from. XY coordinate and gel modes give you a comprehensive toolbox for exploring different lighting effects. Gel mode offers 460 gels, eliminating the need for multiple gel filters.
The Alien 300C comes with 15 effects pre-installed: HUE Loop, Flash, Pulse, Storm, TV, Paparazzi, Candle/Fire, Bad Bulb, Firework, Explosion and Welding. These effects allow you to simulate lighting conditions that are otherwise difficult to reproduce, such as candlelight or fireworks.
The operating system and controls have been developed to be efficient and user-friendly from the ground up. The control unit has an LCD display, three control knobs and four buttons to control the light. The built-in 2.4GHz feature supports remote control and controlling the light with a smartphone using the NANLINK app via Bluetooth. The light also supports DMX control.
Alien 300C operates on mains power or alternatively on V-mount batteries that can be purchased separately. It can be attached to its lighting base with the panel's 5/8" mount. The lighting is IP55 protected, meaning it can also withstand outside in the rain, and a rain cover is included for the control unit.
