Laowa OOOM is a manual focus, true cinema-class zoom lens. The design combines modern sharpness with a slightly vintage smoothness. The lens has not been designed solely based on technical features, but the feel of the image has been honed over the entire three-year development cycle. But the technical aspects are also very good:

• Parfocal, focus remains on target even when zoom is adjusted
• Very little focus breathing
• Closest focusing distance 60cm
• Interchangeable mount: PL, Canon EF and Sony FE (included in the package)
• 4x Zoom range

The lens's focal length covers the Super35+ range, meaning it's suitable for even decent cameras like the Alexa mini. In addition, with the Laowa 1.4X extension, you can use this lens with a full-frame sensor. The Laota 25-100mm is the manufacturer's first cinema zoom and a new product, but some productions have been shot with it in Finland as well.

The features are great, but Laowa's price makes it a great option for smaller production companies or you can buy it outright instead of renting.
