Now that's a long name for a lens, but it has a lot of features! A 180mm focal length, which is rare in a macro lens these days, 1.5x magnification, apochromatic construction, and autofocus.

Note. We also recommend this EF version for new Canon bodies, just bring the adapter and the focus works well. The RF version is manual focus only! Autofocus works from 1.49m, so when shooting close-ups, focus is done manually.

The lens is designed to maintain high-quality color, contrast, and sharpness even at the edges of the image. The APO feature minimizes chromatic aberration, which is often a problem in macro photography.

The lens has a reasonable F4.5 aperture, which makes it quite compact. Often, macro photography also requires a narrower aperture to achieve a wider depth of field. The lens weighs 484g and has a filter thread of 62mm.

The focus ring is large and has a firm feel, making it suitable for precise work when the depth of field is very shallow.

Unlike many Laowa lenses, this Canon version allows aperture control from the camera. The EXIF ??files also record detailed shooting information, such as the aperture value used. The lens also has a USB-C port for software updates.
