A wide-angle macro lens with a magnification of 1:1. The macro feature allows you to capture even small objects in detail, and thanks to the wide angle, you can also capture the surroundings in the image. Works well for landscape photography, but also allows for tight angles!
The shortest focusing distance is only 12.2cm, which in practice means that the subject being photographed at maximum magnification is only 0.5cm away from the front lens. Since the lens's widest focus is infinity, it is also suitable for landscape and architectural photography.
On smaller APS-C sensor cameras, the lens also has a shift feature, which means you can correct the perspective while shooting, for example straightening the vertical lines of buildings. On APS-C cameras, the equivalent focal length of the lens is approximately 22.5mm.
Since it is a fully manual lens, both focusing and aperture control are done from the lens. There are no clicks in the aperture control, which is especially useful when shooting videos.

There are a whopping 14 diaphragm blades, meaning the background is drawn appropriately softly when the main subject is in the foreground.
Although it is a wide-angle lens, the front element is not curved. In addition, the lens has a filter thread ready. This allows you to attach a filter with a 77mm thread directly to the lens without adapters or other tweaks.
