With the help of shutters, or more commonly known as barn doors, you can block light from reaching the sides. Especially useful if you don't want light to escape onto surfaces where it could be reflected back onto the subject. The honeycomb in the middle of the shutters prevents light from reflecting to the sides before the wings and creates a soft light.

The package also includes four colored gelatin films, blue, red, yellow and green, which can be used to change the color of the light. Two films can be used at the same time, so by combining these color films you can also get more shades. For example, using red and blue, you get purple.
