Gitzo's aluminum-magnesium alloy tilt head is ideal for use under a telescope for bird watching, or with long and heavy lenses for wildlife photography.

The GHFG1 gimbal makes it easy and fast to align the camera. The gimbal-style structure is the most sturdy and, above all, the safest choice when shooting with heavy equipment. In the structure, the lens's own weight creates stability. The included long Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plate allows for mounting exactly at the center of gravity, so that moving the camera does not create a tilting moment.

The Gitzo GHFG1 requires a very sturdy tripod to use. The bottom of the head has a 3/8” thread, so it fits directly onto most tripods.
