The DJI Osmo Action 6 is the manufacturer's first action camera with an adjustable f/2.0–f/4.0 aperture. Thanks to the larger 1/1.1" sensor, the Osmo Action 6 supports up to 4K/120 fps recording, better preserving clear details in both low-light and high-contrast scenes.

The most significant improvements compared to the previous Osmo Action 5 Pro model:

• Adjustable aperture on action camera: Adjustable f/2.0–f/4.0 aperture offers aperture settings suitable for different shooting situations.
• New sensor: All-new 1/1.1" square CMOS sensor that delivers even better image quality.
• 4K Custom mode: 4K recording so that the image can be freely cropped in post-production.
• HorizonSteady update: Supports in-camera 4K HorizonSteady stabilization for smoother, more stable footage.
• More internal storage: Internal memory increased to 50 gigabytes, so you can capture moments quickly and without separate memory cards.
• New shooting modes: Includes portrait mode, gesture control, multiple built-in film tones, and 2× lossless zoom.

Battery life, waterproofing, image stabilization, displays, and smart device software are all at the same high level as the Osmo Action 5 Pro. The Supernight low-light shooting mode introduced in the previous model is also included.

The manufacturer's other ecosystem has been taken into account in the development of the camera, you can connect two OsmoAudio™ compatible microphone transmitters (DJI Mic Mini, Mic 2, Mic 3) directly to the camera without additional devices. DJI Osmo Action 6 can be controlled via the touchscreen, phone app or hand gestures and voice commands.

Osmo Action 6 is everything you need in an advanced action camera and more. It can withstand temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius, is waterproof to 20 meters, has natural-looking colors even when diving, and the wet touchscreen works well before and after diving. OLED displays on the front and rear allow you to preview 10-bit D-Log M footage, so you can adjust colors and brightness directly.

The camera has a Pre-Rec feature that records the last 5 minutes before shooting begins. The built-in timecode is a feature that professionals will appreciate as it speeds up post-production on multi-camera productions considerably. The Horizon Steady feature stabilizes the horizon of the image at high speed even if the camera is rotated 360 degrees and HorizonBalancing does the same if the camera is tilted up to 45 degrees at speed.
