A more affordable successor to the popular DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. A great option if you're looking for your first drone, or a small, affordable device for travel.

Weighing only 249 grams, the small Mini 3 has the familiar DJI flying feel, meaning it's easy to fly and shoot both photos and cinematic video. The difference from the Mini 3 PRO version is that this Mini 3 has a lower resolution camera, a WiFi-based data link, and no obstacle detection sensors.

Weighing less than 250g makes the drone more free to fly in terms of drone legislation. All you need to do is register as a drone operator on the TrafiCom website.

The DJI Mini 3 drone features a 1/1.3-inch image sensor, which is smaller than the Mini 3 Pro and the same size as other previous Mini drones.

As standard, the Mini 3 takes still photos with a resolution of 12 megapixels and videos with up to 4K resolution and 60 frames per second. Like the Pro drone, this camera drone has the ability to shoot vertically. The feature called True Vertical Shooting allows you to rotate the camera 90 degrees, i.e. vertically, allowing you to shoot material that can be uploaded directly to, for example, Instagram. This means that you don't have to crop the material afterwards. This is a great feature for those who want a device with which to make material mainly for social media.
