The DJI Mavic Mini 2 is an updated version of the lightweight first-generation DJI Mavic Mini drone, and it brings long-awaited features to the Mini range that were previously missing.

The smallest drone in the DJI Mavic series, the Mini 2, is designed for both first-time drone owners and hobbyists. Its small size makes it easy to take with you on road trips, hiking trips, or even in your carry-on luggage on airplanes, so you can capture every moment.

The DJI Mini 2 offers the expected upgrades when compared to the previous model.

The Mavic Mini 2 drone is equipped with a 3-axis mechanical stabilizer and a camera with a 12-megapixel image sensor, which is now capable of recording video in 4K resolution , and still images in raw format (DNG) , so the post-processing possibilities of the images have been significantly improved.

The Mini 2 brings more flexibility to video recording than before, as the camera allows zooming . In both 4K and 2.7K recording, you can zoom 2x, and in 1080p FullHD video recording, up to 4x zoom is possible. According to the manufacturer, image quality remains lossless only with 2x zoom.

The manufacturer promises a flight time of up to 31 minutes with a full battery, but it should be noted that this time was measured under completely ideal conditions, so the realistic flight time is actually around 25 minutes.

The DJI Mavic Mini 2 is equipped with downward-facing cameras that help the drone stay in place, even without a GPS signal. This feature works both indoors and outdoors. There are no obstacle detection sensors on this model.

The DJI Mini 2 drone does not have internal memory, so in addition to the drone, you will need a microSD memory card.
