Atomos' new Shogun video recorder has been updated to the new AtomOS 11 operating system, which makes Atomos even faster and offers new features. It is capable of recording video in 6K ProRes RAW, ProRes, DNxHD, and H.265 formats.
Compared to Atomos' Ninja video recorder, the Shogun includes all the features of the Ninja, but has a larger and brighter screen, as well as wireless syncing, internet and cloud connectivity without the need for separately purchased add-ons.
Compared to the base Shogun, the Ultra can record up to 8K ProRes RAW video and can simultaneously record 4K60P ProRes RAW and HD60p H.265 video. This allows you to record video to both the SSD and the cloud at the same time.
The video is recorded on a 2.5" SSD. The disk is not included in this sales package, but most disks are compatible with the Ultra. The power source is an external AC power supply or Sony NP-F type batteries.
