Designed for demanding video shooting, the AirHed Cine-A video head is the first video head manufactured by 3 Legged Thing.
The video head is available in two versions - this Arca-Swiss version or with a Manfrotto 501 quick release plate .
The AirHed Cine-A is one of the few video head models that accepts a 38mm wide Arca-Swiss quick release plate, so if you have Arca plates or the tripod foot of your telescope or telephoto lens is Arca compatible, this video head is an excellent option for you.
Made from aerospace-grade magnesium-aluminum alloy, the video head offers strength and reliability, while being lightweight enough for the mobile photographer. Its design is reminiscent of the 3 Legged Thing style. The video head has ergonomic and practical features, but also artistic ones.
The AirHead Cine video head has a maximum load capacity of approximately 10 kg, meaning it can support even the most robust camera, even when the camera is surrounded by additional components needed for filming. The high load capacity is also suitable for using longer telephoto lenses.
In the middle of the spiderweb pattern is a large adjustment screw that allows you to adjust the amount of tilt friction and lock the movement completely for still photography. Below this adjustment knob is a smaller thumbscrew for panning.
The liquid-damped video head has a spring that acts as a counterweight, which helps the camera stay in the desired position and not fall down or up when you let go of the video head handle.
The hand grip can be attached to either side, so the video head can be used with either the left or right hand. On the other side of the head there is an additional 1/4' female thread for attaching accessories (light, monitor, etc.). The spirit level also makes it easier to mount the camera on the rack.
