SmallRig 2918 is an aluminum, camera-shaped frame designed specifically for the Sony Alpha 7 III, Alpha 7R III, and Alpha 9. The frame protects the camera body from bumps and provides versatile mounting options for accessories without blocking access to the camera's buttons, battery door, or ports.

The frame is equipped with one accessory shoe (cold shoe) for attaching, for example, a microphone or video light. In addition, the body has several 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads. A special feature of the frame is ARRI-style mounts, which prevent the equipment attached to them from unintentionally rotating.

The camera is securely attached to the frame with a 1/4"-20 screw on the bottom. The attachment is also secured with an M2.5 screw on the strap loop. This "anti-twist" structure locks the camera in place and prevents it from moving inside the frame during use.

The frame allows you to build a shooting rig according to your own needs: for example, you can attach a top handle or side handle for handheld shooting. ARRI mounts on the top and side also allow for a sturdy installation of a monitor or other accessories. A flat-head screwdriver is integrated into the base of the frame, so you always have a tool with you when removing the camera or tightening screws.
