Sigma Aizu Prime is a new series of cinema lenses. The Aizu Prime lenses are not based on previous lenses made for photography, but are completely designed for video production, meaning the series has been designed as a whole. This ensures a similar drawing and image character.

Sigma describes the image as a combination of modern sharpness combined with naturalness, i.e. quite pleasing to the eye. Since the goal from the very beginning has been to make devices suitable for film production, distortion and focus breathing have been minimized already in the design phase.

The series currently consists of 8 lenses (25mm, 27mm, 32mm, 35mm, 40mm, 50mm, 65mm, 75mm) with more wide-angle and telephoto lenses to be added in the future (18mm, 21mm, 100mm and 125mm). The Aizu Cine Primes are available in Arri PL mount as well as Sony FE mount.
