With this Samyang 14 mm and AF 50mm lenses, Samyang has moved into the production of autofocus lenses. The dust and moisture resistant lens is designed specifically for Sony's FE full-frame bodies , and the optics fit directly into the E-mount without an adapter, with autofocus working just like Sony's own optics. The equivalent focal length on a crop sensor Sony such as the a6400 is about 21mm.

The optical construction consists of 14 elements and 10 optical groups. The lens features two ED lenses and two aspherical elements (hybrid and standard). All lenses are coated with high-quality, new-generation UMC (Ultra Multi Coated) anti-reflection coatings.
