Second generation version (MII) of the Manfrotto Element tripod. Otherwise identical to the Manfrotto Element MII Mobile Bluetooth but this one doesn't come with a Bluetooth remote shutter. This model does however come with a Universal Smartphone Clamp!

Who this tripod is for: A good basic tripod when you don't need any extra features. For those of you who enjoy taking photos with both your phone and camera. The upside-down center tube is perfect for macro photography, for example.

Element MII vs Befree Advanced

When comparing these two popular Manfrotto tripod series, the main differences are as follows:

• The Element MII stand is more affordable than the Befree Advances stand
• The central tube of the Element MII tripod can be turned upside down. This allows, for example, macro photography close to the ground.
  
• The maximum height of the Element MII stand is higher (160 cm vs 150 cm)
• The Element MII series stand does not have an Easy Link connection , which would allow you to attach accessories to the stand
• The Element MII series tripod ball head does not have friction control.
• The legs of the Element MII stand fold to two angles (25°, 35°), while the Befree Advance to three angles (22°, 54°, 89°)
  

Feet

The Manfrotto Element Mark 2 tripod legs consist of four parts and three twist locks. The twist locks open and close quickly with just half a turn. The maximum height of the tripod is 160 cm and with the center tube down it is 128 cm.

The angle lock of the legs is adjusted using a lever at the base of the leg. The legs fold into two angles, and you can adjust the leg angle for each leg separately.

One of the three legs of the tripod has a protective cushion that makes handling the tripod comfortable, especially in low temperatures or wet weather.

Center pipe

The tripod's center tube is about 20cm long and has a screw-lock locking mechanism. The center tube can be turned upside down, so that the camera hangs between the legs with its head down. This is a great feature when you want to take macro shots at ground level or just close to ground level.

There is a hook at the bottom of the center tube where you can attach a backpack, for example, to support the stand.

Ball head

The ball head that comes with this tripod package has two locking screws. The larger lock locks the ball head and the smaller lock screw adjusts the pan lock. The ball head's pan function makes it easier to shoot landscapes.

The ball head has a Manfrotto 200PL-PRO quick release plate, which is both RC2 and Acra-swiss compatible.

Phone mount

With the Manfrotto Smart Clamp phone mount included with the tripod package, you can also use the tripod for mobile photography.

You can attach any smart device with a maximum width of 8.4cm to the phone mount. The one-button Bluetooth remote shutter has a range of approximately 20 meters (line of sight) and does not require an app to be installed on the phone.
