The 2x magnification lens eliminates the need for separate zoom rings, making it faster and easier to switch between shooting modes. So you can shoot macro details and effortlessly move on to larger subjects.
The Laowa 65mm f/2.8 2X Ultra Macro APO is the manufacturer's first macro lens designed directly for the APS-C sensor size.
The lens is designed to maintain excellent color, contrast, and sharpness across the entire image area, regardless of shooting mode. The lens features three ED elements to prevent color dispersion, or chromatic aberration, in high-contrast areas.

The lens is fully manual, meaning that both aperture and focal length are adjusted manually. The lens does not send aperture or focal length information to the camera. However, in aperture priority mode (AV/A), the camera can calculate the appropriate shutter speed based on the exposure meter. This is a good thing to consider when choosing a shooting mode.
The lens aperture ring has soft clicks that make it easy to select the desired aperture. This means you don't necessarily have to look at the aperture selected, but can focus on composing the image while adjusting the exposure with a "key-feel" feel. The softness of the clicks also allows for a smooth transition between apertures when shooting video.
