Max Lens Mod version for the Hero 12 action camera. The operating principle is the same as the previous model, but this one is lighter, smaller and twice as protected from scratches. The technical improvements include a wider viewing angle (177°) and a higher resolution of 4K 60fps.
How does a small piece of glass do all this? Basically, this is a wide-angle attachment that allows the widest settings to fit into the GoPro Hero 12 sensor area so that the image can rotate 360 degrees, meaning HyperSmooth stabilization works freely and horizon lock works without restrictions.
The Max Lens mod does not contain any electrical contacts, so you have to enable it in the camera settings. You can also choose whether to use horizon lock, in some cases turning this off will give the video a more dynamic feel.
Tip: If you shoot a lot of vertical videos for social media, the GoPro Max Lens Mod 2.0 allows you to use regular mounts without the need for swivels or turning the camera sideways. Enable Vertical Capture in your camera settings and you can attach the camera to a regular head strap, chest strap, or other mounts and the image will stay vertical!
