In addition to the HERO13 action camera and normal accessories, the Accessory Bundle includes a floating handle, a second battery, a second Velcro mount, a 64GB memory card, and a bag.
The GoPro HERO 13 opens up new creative possibilities with HB series lenses, improves battery life with a new, larger battery, and offers more mounting options than ever before.
Longer battery life is always a welcome improvement in these devices, because running out of battery in the middle of an activity, sports performance, or when attached to the most unusual locations means the end of filming.
The image sensor is the same as the HERO 12, but now it is possible to shoot 5.3K and 4K video in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR format. It also uses the very effective HyperSmooth 6.0 stabilization familiar from the previous model. The built-in GPS, which was removed from the HERO 12, is back. With post-processing, you can display GPS-recorded data such as speed, route traveled, altitude and G-forces on the video.
HB-Series attachments: Compatible with the new HB lenses. Designed for close-up photography, the Macro Lens Mod magnifies the subject four times. With ND filters, you can get the shutter speed to the required level in different lighting conditions and avoid the jerkiness in the image caused by high shutter speeds. With the Ultra Wide Lens Mod, familiar from previous models, you can use a wider 177° angle of view. The camera automatically adjusts the settings according to the connected attachment.
Better battery life: A larger 1900mAh capacity battery extends battery life regardless of the conditions, in hot or cold weather. With 5.3K 60P shooting, battery life is 20 minutes longer (1.5 hours) compared to HERO 12 and 1080 30P is an hour longer (2.5 hours) compared to 12.
More mounting options: The new Magnetic Latch Mount, available separately, makes it faster to switch between mounts. It also includes GoPro's standard folding bottom mounts and a standard 1/4' tripod thread.
HLG-HDR video: For professional photographers, it is possible to record 10-bit 2100 Rec. 5.3K and 4K video in Hybrid Log Gamma (HLG) HDR format. HLG is an advanced feature that requires a compatible display and media player, so it is also possible to record HDR video without HLG for general use.
Burst Slo-Mo Slow-Mo Videos: Shoot slow-mo videos at up to 13x slow motion. Four times slow motion for 5.3K120 video for five seconds, 12 times slow motion for 900P360 for fifteen seconds, and 13 times slow motion for 720P400 for fifteen seconds.
Built-in GPS: The built-in GPS feature was removed from the previous HERO 12 model. However, it has made a return to this camera. The GPS automatically records telemetry data, which you can add to your video in post-processing using the GoPro Quik app. You can see things like speed, route, altitude and G-forces on your video.
As usual, the camera does pretty much everything the previous models do, so the list is pretty extensive. Here are some of our favorite features:
HyperSmooth 6.0 and expanded AutoBoost: Stabilization works really well in the new GoPro cameras. Autoboost can adjust the electronic stabilizer's cropping as needed and the video image is cropped as little as possible. GoPro says HyperSmooth processes four times more data than the previous 5.0 version.
Front screen: Very good for vlogging and framing images if the camera is in an awkward position. No need to reach behind the camera or check on your phone.
5K resolution. The higher resolution works with different cropping (i.e. wide setting and linear setting that does not distort the image). Stabilization also works with 5K resolution. Resolution is never a problem and a 5K image also withstands cropping better in editing.
Bluetooth headphones as a microphone : You can connect Bluetooth devices and, for example, headphones that work both for sound monitoring and as an external microphone. You can also give voice commands to the camera via Bluetooth headphones. And because the range can be long and works even through a window, the camera can be outside the car, for example, and the sound can be performed inside the video! The Bluetooth mic and the track recorded by the camera also remain separate, so you can record ambient sounds or backup sounds in case of microphone connection problems at the same time.
Webcam mode and live streaming. Now you can have the most exciting adventures of your life and even video conferences for work with the same device. Also works great as a second camera for live streaming productions. Compatible with Youtube, Facebook and Twitch.
Easier shooting of vertical videos: A handy feature for Tiktok and reels photographers, you can get vertical videos faster by selecting them in the settings
The sales package does not include a memory card. We recommend using Sandisk Extreme Pro A2 microSD cards for the Gopro Hero 13. These have sufficient speed and reliability, which is excellent in our experience.
