When you demand speed from your flash, the Godox QTIII series is for you. Compared to the older II version, this III version brings even faster flash time and charging time. The sturdy aluminum-cased QTIII series also features HSS, Mask function and MultiFlash support. The QTIII series is available in 400Ws, 600Ws and 1200Ws power.
The QT1200III is really powerful, so powerful that it's not everyone's first choice. The 1200Ws powerful flash unit is suitable for you if you use large light modifiers and shoot large group photos, large objects (such as cars), or when you want to beat the sun shining from the full sky.
The Godox QT1200III is 1200Ws and the most powerful flash in the QT series. The flash power is adjustable from 1/1 to 1/128 and there are 50 steps in the adjustment range. In addition, there is a 40W LED modeling light on the head, the power of which can also be adjusted.
The mains-powered Godox QT1200 III is a manual flash unit, so there is no TTL. The QT1200III is designed to shoot at high speeds for very short exposures - whether it's a fast shutter speed or a very short flash duration. While the HSS offered by the QT600III is not always necessary in the studio, HSS is helpful when you want to freeze the motion of fast-moving subjects, such as dancers or objects flying in the air.
One target group of the QT series is also product photographers, as it includes a mask function. The Mask Function is used in product photography, where you usually want to mask out the background. The main lights are placed in one group and the background lights in another group, which gives you a lit image of the product and a white background/black silhouette image, which makes masking possible.
The flash head has a built-in 2.4G radio receiver, which allows for remote flash control and the use of Godox battery devices in the same flash set. This means you can combine the QTIII series with, for example, the battery-powered Godox AD series, or the mains-powered QSII, DPII and SKII for the same shoot.
The QTIII supports Godox X1T, X2T and XPro 2.4Ghz triggers. In addition, the flash's USB port also allows the use of older triggers.
In addition to the optional wireless trigger, the QT1200III studio flash can be adjusted from the rear panel of the flash and is clearly displayed on the easy-to-read LCD screen. The QT1200 has several flash modes - ideal for most shooting situations, Stable Color Mode prioritizes accurate 5600K color reproduction. High Speed Mode favors short flash times for freezing fast motion, whether it's sports or freezing water droplets and splashes in the studio.
The device has a Bowens mount, meaning a wide range of light modifiers are available for the flash.
