F-Stop focuses on comfort and durability when used outdoors in all of their backpacks. The F-Stop Lotus is the smallest backpack in the Mountain series, with a storage capacity of 32 liters . The backpack features the same key features as other Mountain series backpacks.

The slim and agile Lotus backpack is supported by an internal aluminum frame. The 1.5-kilogram backpack is made of the same Oxford-woven Ripstop nylon material used in parachutes - so the material is durable. The backpack's EVA-molded back is a breathable and comfortable material. The EVA material is light, soft, flexible and heat-insulating. It does not harden even in the coldest temperatures.

The Lotus backpack's fabric and surface are water-repellent and weatherproof. It keeps your gear and valuable photography equipment safe in damp places and light rain. The pockets have YKK "heavy gauge" weather and waterproof zippers and Hypalon zipper reinforcements that prevent water from entering the backpack's pockets. The Hypalon reinforced bottom protects the backpack from wet surfaces and terrain. The Lotus is compatible with most hydration systems. The outlet for the hydration bladder hose is also sealed so that it does not let moisture into the backpack. For heavy rain, it is possible to purchase a rain cover designed for the backpack. The backpack has its own pocket for this.

Like other F-Stop camera backpacks, the Lotus backpack is customizable and can be converted using separately purchased storage compartments, or ICUs. The type of ICU you need depends on your camera setup and quantity.

What is ICU?
The ICU, or Internal Camera Unit, is a separate camera equipment compartment where you store and protect your camera, lenses, and other accessories. The ICU storage case keeps your camera equipment organized in your backpack. When you want to use the camera backpack as a traditional backpack, you simply lift the ICU out of the backpack and the ICU works great as a standalone storage solution.

Other pockets and storage compartments can be found in many places on the backpack:

• On the side of the backpack there is a full-length and spacious zippered pocket with a small Velcro closure, which can be opened to make the pocket slightly larger if needed.
• Your passport, wallet and other less frequently used items can be stored in the zippered bottom pocket
• The zippered pocket at the top of the backpack is great for items you need to access quickly. The pocket also has a detachable key loop.
• Stretchable mesh pocket on shoulder strap
• Inner pocket that can hold up to a 13" laptop or alternatively a hydration bladder with hose
• Adjustable chest strap has an integrated whistle for emergencies
