The Zhiyun Crane 3S is practically bigger and more powerful than the Crane 3 LAB, and is intended to control/support more robust cameras, such as Red and Sony digital video cameras, Blackmagic Pocket Cinema cameras and Canon EOS 1DX. The Crane 3S has the same carrying design, so you can quickly switch from the traditional two-handed technique to the more natural two-handed sling position.

This package includes the Smart Sling handle. The handle has an integrated OLED control panel, which allows you to control the stabilizer and camera settings, such as focus and zoom.

The Crane 3:S supports a really large load, as the stabilizer has a load capacity of a whopping 6.5 kg.

In addition to the more powerful motors, the Crane 3S is modular. The included expansion module can be attached to the stabilizer's motor shaft, allowing it to accommodate a larger film camera setup. For smaller DSLR cameras, the module can be removed for a more compact setup.

The stabilizer is equipped with several different mounting points, in fact the number of mounting points has increased from 3 to nine (9), and these can be found on both the stabilizer and the handle. The mounting points allow you to attach LED light panels, external monitors, microphones. The Crane 3S stabilizer is also compatible with many accessories, such as dollies or cable cameras.

The Crane 3S uses the same battery model as the Crane 3 LAB, although the operating time has been increased from 7.5 hours to up to 12 hours. The stabilizer's DC-In port allows direct charging. To make the Crane3 usable for long shooting sessions with heavy camera combinations, it is possible to purchase the TransMount PowerPlus battery pack separately, which can consume six 18650 batteries. This gives the stabilizer up to 21 hours of operation!

Wireless connection to a smartphone or tablet allows, for example, the smart device's screen to be used for monitoring, composition and adjusting camera/gimbal settings.
