IP54 rain resistance and drop resistance from 1.5m make this battery a durable choice for even the toughest shooting conditions. The battery supports heavy loads and fast charging. It also has a digital information display.

The battery capacity is 290Wh/20.1Ah and its operating time on a single charge is 11 hours (with a normal professional camcorder). The PB-R290S+ supports 6A fast charging with the Swit S-3812S charger , which halves the charging time. The PB-R290S+ charges from 0-80% in less than 3.5 hours and takes just under 5 hours to fully charge.

The battery has 8 LED indicators that show the charging status while charging and the remaining operating time in 15-minute increments during use. In addition, the battery supports the information system of Sony and Red cameras, so you can see the battery status in the viewfinder of these cameras.

The battery has a D-tap DC output on the top of the unit, so you can power another device from the same battery. The maximum current output of the D-tap connection is 10A.
