The ART series' excellent, inimitable quality. The lens is equivalent to three prime lenses in APS-C format, 85mm F1.8, 105mm F1.8 and 135mm F1.8. Depth of field control and beautiful bokeh make this lens the right choice for both portrait and nature photography. The redesigned Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) makes autofocus even faster and quieter.

The carbon fiber diaphragm blades are particularly quiet and frictionless. The Sigma 50-150 F1.8 DC A is made to work very similarly to the Sigma 18-35 F1.8 DC A lens, in terms of focusing and zooming. The lens has Sigma's familiar internal focusing and zooming mechanism. The lens is mechanically of very high quality and the focus ring has the same feel as the previously mentioned 18-35mm lens.
