Shimoda Core Unit Large DSLR V2 camera unit

V2 version of the Shimoda Core Unit inner part. The difference between version 2 and the older one is the zippered side part, so this also fits the X50 and X70 backpacks.

Like F-Stop ICUs, Kånken Photo Inserts, and Peak Design Camera Cubes, Core Units keep camera gear organized and protected in your backpack.

Made from shock-absorbing and protective EVA material, the Core Units are designed to be used with Shimoda backpacks, but work equally well as a camera compartment in any backpack or bag. With the help of adhesive-backed dividers, the compartment can be customized to your needs.

The Core Unit inner part comes with a separate outer shell, which is intended to protect camera equipment when you store the camera section outside the backpack.

This small Core Unit equipment section can accommodate, for example, the following:

• System camera body + 3-4 lenses + accessories
• System camera + 70-200mm f/2.8 lens + 2-3 additional lenses and accessories

This insert is compatible with the following backpacks:

• Best compatibility: Shimoda Explore 40, Shimoda Explore 60, Shimoda Action X50
• Good compatibility: Shimoda Action X70
