The HS8 is specifically designed for focus pulling and as a director's monitor, where large size and high resolution are crucial.

Professional tools and cross conversion

The Portkeys HS8 is equipped with a wide range of connections: it has both 3G-SDI and HDMI inputs and outputs. The monitor supports cross-conversion, so you can input an HDMI signal and output it via the SDI connection, making it easy to integrate the monitor into professional video links and distribution systems. The software provides all the necessary tools: Waveform, Histogram, False Color, Peaking and Zoom functions.

The metal body of the device not only protects against impacts, but also acts as an effective passive cooler. This means that the device is quiet and the fan noise does not interfere with recordings. Thanks to 3D LUT support, you can load your own color specifications via a USB stick, and the monitor can feed the LUT-processed image via the SDI output.

Designed for long shooting days

The power supply is cleverly implemented with two Sony NP-F battery slots, which significantly extends the operating time and allows for hot swapping of batteries. In addition, the monitor has a professional 4-pin DC connector for external power. There is also a power output (DC Out) on the back of the monitor, which can be used to power other camera accessories, such as a wireless video transmitter.
