The high aperture and effective stabilization allow for handheld shooting. The 200 mm (35 mm film equivalent: 400 mm) telephoto capability and F2.8 aperture provide distance and speed, which are useful for shooting birds and other animals, as well as fast-paced sports photography.

The lens's focus motor is extremely quiet and fast, giving users everything they need to shoot with their LUMIX camera. It makes aperture adjustments smoothly, so there are no sudden changes in exposure, and it's also quiet. In addition, this lens's superb AF performance records excellent 4K video footage, where precise focus is essential.
