Olympus OM-D 3-year extended warranty

The Olympus Extended Warranty for OM-D bodies provides an additional 3 years of warranty on top of the standard warranty period. This additional warranty gives you a total of 5 years of warranty on your camera.

• Available for cameras with a standard warranty period (2 years) still in effect.
• Requires camera registration in MyOlympus within the normal warranty period – by registering within 2 months of camera purchase, you will receive an additional 6 months warranty (i.e. a total warranty of 5.5 years)
• The extended warranty begins when the normal warranty period ends. The total warranty period is then a maximum of 5.5 years.
• The warranty only applies to defects that are not caused by improper use/handling of the camera.

The 3-year extended warranty covers:

• Free repair costs for three years from the moment the warranty period would otherwise expire
• Defects caused by normal wear and tear and use

Does not cover:

• Accidental damage during use.
• From misuse, accidental water damage, and damage to the outer casing or damage caused by dropping the camera

The 3-year extended warranty is only for Olympus OM-D cameras and is only valid if registered in MyOlympus within the camera's normal warranty period (2 years).

For now, the extended warranty is available for Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II, E-M10 Mark III and E-M5 Mark II bodies.
